In 1996, he joined the English club Bristol City, competing in the English Second Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his three seasons with Bristol City, Jim honed his skills under the mentorship of coach Joe Jordan and midfielder Brian Tinnion, who supported him significantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 1999, Jim transferred to Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2002-2003 season, he and his team reached the playoff stage, aiming for promotion. However, they were defeated in the semi-finals by Sheffield United.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of Jim\u2019s most notable partnerships on the field was with Des Walker, who played a crucial role in helping him master defensive techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Another_Transfer\"><\/span>Another Transfer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the 2003-2004 season, Jim joined Norwich City on a free transfer. He earned the distinction of being the team\u2019s first-ever player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 26, 2007, Jim made another debut, becoming the first Canadian to score a goal for Toronto FC during an MLS match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Retirement\"><\/span>Retirement<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>April 6, 2010, marked another milestone in Jim\u2019s career.
